Formerly a part of the Town of Rye, in 1982 this area was incorporated as the Village of Rye Brook. Bordered by Rye, Harrison and Greenwich, Connecticut, it offers a 38-40 minute commute to New York City.
Predominantly a tranquil residential village with a community minded, politically active constituency. The tax base is augmented by a broad range of retail, professional and service oriented businesses which include the Rye Town Hilton, Arrowwood Conference Center and Royal Executive Corporate Park.
Educational Facilities
State-wide and National Excellence Awards for both the Ridge Street Elementary School and the Blind Brook Junior and Senior High School have created a body of tuition students from many of the surrounding towns. The Ridge Street Country School for Pre-K through age 6 is an accredited nursery school. There are three parochial elementary schools, and nearby Rye Country Day School, which is a private, small-class school for students Pre-K thru 12.
